YouTuber Dhruv Rathee says Ranveer, Samay are being ‘harassed’; Mika Singh reacts ‘In gadho ko…’
The controversy around Samay Raina‘s show India’s Got Latent continues to draw public condemnation and attention. Ranveer Allahbadia, who was a part of the recent episode, is continuously being slammed over a comment involving parents and sex. The controversy has escalated with FIRs being filed against the Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, influencer Apoorva Makhija and others. Reportedly, Mumbai Police showed up at Ranveer’s home yesterday in response to the complaint filed. Many known stars have reacted to the controversy. After Imtiaz Ali and Manoj Bajpayee, reactions of stars like Mika Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Rakhi Sawant and many others are making headlines.
Mika Singh shared a video on his social media accounts and called out the hypocrisy in the industry. He said that he isn’t angry with Ranveer or Samay, but agitated with the judges who appear on such shows. He also defended Diljit Dosanjh stating that whenever the singers sing about alcohol, notices are issued. However, when such comments are made on the show like India’s Got Latent, there is no action. “I feel disappointed when some so-called protectors of the country target singers like Diljit and me for singing songs with references of alcohol. Tum log ko yeh gadhe log nazar nahi aate? Tumhara farz nahi banta? Celebrities aur singers ko fat se notice bhej dete ho toh aap in gadho ko rok nahi sakte?,” he said.

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee too has shared his views on the controversy. Earlier, he called out Samay and Ranveer for the abusive language used in the show. However, in his latest tweet, he mentioned that the two stars are being ‘harassed’ by police, media anchors, politicians. Check out his tweet below:
I may not like or agree with Ranveer or Samay’s content..
But the way the politicians, media anchors, police and the whole machinery is harassing them is unacceptable, wrong and very suspicious.

Rakhi Sawant too seemingly reacted to the controversy and asked all to forgive Ranveer Allahbadia for his comments. She too has appeared on India’s Got Latent as a guest.
Filmmaker and actor Jackky Bhagnani shared his views on the controversy with news agency ANI, and said, “Bhaut galat hai jo bhi hai…I don’t agree with it at all. I don’t support it also.”
Post the backlash, Ranveer Allahbadia shared a video on social media extending an apology. He accepted that the comments made weren’t in good taste and he shouldn’t have said what he said. He asked fans to forgive him. However, the controversy seems to have affected both him and his brand.
