In a recent interview, the actress spoke about the show’s rising TRPs and whether it has an effect on the cast.
In an interview with entertainment news portal India Forums, Samridhii Shukla aka Abhira spoke about Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai‘s TRPs being back on track post brief slump. She shared that the producer has informed the cast to not worry about the numbers. But they do come to know and that the team is happy that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is consistently performing well. She said, “I think we’re really going very constant and that’s what the entire team is happy about. Whatever the changes overall in the GEC is happening, it’s not really affecting us because we’re stable. We’re not losing anybody. So I think that’s a good sign for us.” Samridhii also explained that a slight dip in TRP ratings doesn’t affect much as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai holds a legacy, it has history and there will be ups and downs when a show is running for this long.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai stars Rohit Purohit as the male lead. He plays the role of Armaan Poddar. Fans are really happy with Samridhii and Rohit’s chemistry in the show. They have also coined a term for them – Abhimaan. Currently, the storyline is about Armaan and Abhira struggling due to financial issues. They are living in a chawl as they have left and severed all ties with the Poddars. Armaan’s biological mother Shivani is supporting them.
