Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star Mohsin Khan recalls the first time he stood outside Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat; here’s what happened next
Mohsin Khan became a household name because of his performance in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actor has a huge fan following, and his fans are always looking forward to knowing what he’s doing next. Years ago, when Mohsin was a part of the show, he got to share the screen with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview, Mohsin was candid about the experience and revealed fascinating insights into the significant role that SRK has played in his life.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mohsin Khan talked about his memorable experiences related to Shah Rukh Khan. The YRKKH actor recalled the time when Shah Rukh Khan visited his show’s set to promote his movie Jab Harry Met Sejal in 2017. The entire team was nervous about his arrival, and nobody suggested rehearsing the scene. Everyone was quietly waiting for him to arrive, filled with anticipation.
Mohsin Khan revealed how impressed he was with the way Shah Rukh Khan prepared before the shoot. Mohsin said SRK asked the team if they read the script, and they all said yes. Then they sat down to read a scene together. The Devdas star had read the scene only once, yet there were no mistakes, not even a single fumble. Mohsin stated that Shah Rukh had gone through the script a couple of hours before arriving on set, and after just one reading, they completed the entire scene. Mohsin admired how the superstar delivered his lines perfectly, exactly as written, including the punctuation. The Yeh Rishta star also praised Shah’s ability to improvise and react during the scene, saying that’s why he is called king.
Mohsin Khan also recalled the time when Shah Rukh Khan introduced him and the cast of his show Dream Girl in front of a live audience at an award function. Mohsin said that he was extremely nervous during the live event, where SRK introduced them at the Star Screen Awards.

But that’s not the first time Mohsin Khan got a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan. Years ago, before his TV journey, the actor saw SRK at Mannat, and he credited Shah Rukh Khan for inspiring his acting career. During his early days in Kandivili, the actor recounted a day when his friends took a train or bus to Bandra and proceeded to Bandstand. When their friend’s bike broke down, they noticed a large crowd approaching, which frightened them. Mohsin and his friends realised that they were all there to see Shah Rukh. Mohsin and his friends looked up and saw SRK on his terrace, greeting all his fans. “That was the first time we saw Shah Rukh Khan’s house, Mannat and how he greets his fans. The moment he waved, people went berserk. There was a sea of people coming to see him. That is the aura of Shah Rukh Khan,” said Mohsin in the interview.
