Abhishek Bachchan’s film trajectory has witnessed a drastic change. Though he did not receive success in the initial phase of his career due to constant comparisons with Amitabh Bachchan, he is now impressing masses with content-driven films. His recent film is Be Happy. The story of a single father and daughter is receiving great reviews. In a recent interview, Abhishek Bachchan spoke about the kind of films he wishes to do. He also shared that he is also uncomfortable with sexually explicit scenes.
In an interview with Quint, Abhishek Bachchan was asked whether he evaluates his films before singing. To this, he shared that he will never evaluate a film as he believes it takes emotion out of it. He added that if the story has touched him in any way, he would like to take up the role. He added that it has to be an emotional response. Further, he also mentioned that he isn’t comfortable with sexually explicit scenes on screen. “Maybe something that’s very sexually explicit. I’m very uncomfortable with that. I don’t like showing all of that on screen. I’m still one of those…even if I’m watching a show alone and something very sexually explicit comes up, I forward it,” he said.
Abhishek Bachchan further explained that ever since he has become a girl dad, he wants to pick up movies that he can watch with his daughter. “I’m not saying it for principle, I don’t know how she (Aaradhya) would possibly feel to say ‘what’s he doing?’ I’d like to consider that,” he said.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan welcomed daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011. Since then, she has been the centre of their lives. In a recent interview, Abhishek Bachchan also explained why a parent shouldn’t be friends with their children. He believes that parents should be friendly enough for kids to confide in them but they must understand that ‘distinction.’
