Vivek Oberoi praises Shah Rukh Khan, reflects on fight with Salman Khan: ‘So many people have power…’
IIFA 2024 witnessed a celebrity galore with many top names from Bollywood making way to Abhu Dhabi. The event took place at Yas Islands with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar hosting the night. The pictures and videos reveal that it was a fun night with a lot of entertainment thanks to the hosts, the performances and more. Vivek Oberoi was among the presenters at IIFA 2024 and when on stage, he couldn’t resist praising Shah Rukh Khan.
When on stage, Vivek Oberoi spoke about being nervous but he heaped praises on Shah Rukh Khan for not just being the King on screen but even off-screen. He also added that Shah Rukh Khan has power that he uses to empower others. Vivek Oberoi was quoted saying, “Many people have fame and power but what’s special you is that you use power to empower.” Shah Rukh Khan sweetly smiles as Vivek Oberoi says the kind words. All the Shah Rukh Khan fans are sharing this video on social media. Though Vivek Oberoi did not take any names but it appeared that he subtly reflected on his feud with Salman Khan.

In the past, Vivek Oberoi has often opened up about how powerful people in the industry did not let him work especially after his feud with Salman Khan. Back in 2003, Vivek had called for a public conference in which he had revealed that Salman Khan threatened him for having a bond with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Over the years, Vivek Oberoi has witnessed many highs and lows because of this feud. Recently, to Hindustan Times, Vivek spoke about his career getting affected due to the same. He spoke about how people in power decided to not let him work anymore. He was quoted saying, “I got a lot of success, I was winning a lot of awards in my career and suddenly it evaporated because a bunch of people, who had a lot of power in Bollywood, decided ‘You are not going to work here anymore, we will make sure that happens’.”
