Shreyas Talpade on National Award for Kangana Ranaut

When the trailer was released, Kangana Ranaut fans shared reactions about how she deserved another National Award for the movie. Shreyas Talpade reacted, “I think it should be for all three—for producing, directing, and acting. I have seen the film and what I really admire is that she chooses a subject like emergency to produce. Then she directs that film and plays the part of Indira Ji in the film. When you see the film, in the first two minutes you forget that Kangana Ranaut is playing the part. You feel it is Indira Gandhi; she’s that good.” Also Read – Union Minister Nitin Gadkari joins Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher for special screening of Emergency, see photos

“So as far as the National Award or any other award is concerned, it is a no-brainer that she is going to win for the kind of portrayal that she has done. But the kind of film that she has made as a director is truly an international film. So for that, she definitely deserves a National Award,” added the Om Shanti Om actor. Kangana Ranaut, who was a part of the same interview, laughed and called Shreyas a generous’minister’.

Meanwhile, along with Kangana and Shreyas, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Mahima Chaudhry in pivotal roles. The movie will hit theatres on January 17, 2025.
