Celebrity MasterChef continues to dominate headlines with its ongoing fight and intense competition among the contestants. According to recent reports, Dipika Kakar has decided to quit the show midway citing health issues. However, neither the actress nor the channel has given an official confirmation on this yet. Dipika’s fans – who have been rallying for her win – are unhappy and shocked by the news of her sudden and unexpected exit. Many have also held the makers responsible for being biased.
Amid all this, Celebrity MasterChef contestant and veteran actress Usha Nadkarni has confirmed Dipika’s exit in an interview. Yes, you read that right! Usha shared that Dipika has been struggling with her hand injury which made it difficult for her to cook food. She revealed, “Dipika’s health isn’t good. She has some problem with her hand, so she can’t cook properly. That’s why she left”.
Usha Nadkarni further shared that Dipika had visited a doctor and initially felt better. However, she revealed that the pain didn’t subside which made Dipika take the tough decision to step out of the show. Usha further mentioned that the contestants have grown close like a family, and everyone on the show really misses Dipika’s presence. Earlier, Dipika’s husband, Shoaib Ibrahim spoke about his wife’s health in his vlog and mentioned that she had been suffering from severe arm pain which is an old injury.
Shoaib had also mentioned that the doctors have advised her to rest and avoid excessive movement. In the video, Dipika was seen wearing a sling. Dipika had earlier thought that she’d continue shooting the show, but her health worsened.
After Chandan Prabhakar and Abhijeet Sawant’s eviction from Celebrity MasterChef, the show has Gaurav Khanna, Tejasswi Prakash, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Kabita Singh, Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), and Ayesha Jhulka. The show is hosted by Farah Khan, with Chef Ranveer Brar and Chef Vikas Khanna as judges.
