Udit Narayan mocks the kissing controversy at Pintu Ki Pappi event

Lately, playback singer Udit Narayan stayed in news for all the wrong reasons. A video of him kissing a female fan on the lips went viral on social media calling for a major backlash. The video led to a controversy with many calling his actions inappropriate. Udit Narayan, however, maintained that he does not regret his actions. Now, Sona Kitna Sona Hai singer has added some humor to the situation and taken a hilarious dig at the kissing controversy.
Udit Narayan recently attended the music launch party of the movie Pintu Ki Pappi. He took over the stage and had a fun interaction with choreographer Ganesh Acharya. He joked about the title and connected it with his kissing controversy. He said, “Khubsurat title hai aapki, Pintu Ki Pappi. Aur Udit Ki Pappi toh nahi? (Your film’s title Pintu Ki Pappi is beautiful. It’s not Udit Ki Pappi, right?)” leaving everyone laughing hard. Further, he mentioned that it is quite a coincidence that he is attending Pintu Ki Pappi launch while he is in the news for the kissing row.
Udit Narayan also revealed that the video that has gone viral on social media is a two year old video from a concert he held in Australia. “Ye bhi ek ittefaq hai ki abhi hi ye release hona tha matlab music. Waise 2 saal pehle ka video hai Australia ka jo aap abhi dekh rahe hai. (It’s a coincidence that the music is releasing now. The video that’s going viral is actually two years old, from Australia.)” he said.

After the video of Udit Narayan kissing a fan went viral, there were many more videos of him that drew attention. One of the videos showed him kissing Alka Yagnik on cheeks on a reality TV show. There were videos of him kissing Shreya Ghoshal and Karisma Kapoor that also drew attention. Later, in an interview with entertainment news section of Hindustan Times, he addressed the controversy and said that it should not be blown out of proportion. He added that all of it is fan craze.
