Triptii Dimri shuts down Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal backlash, ‘With Bulbbul and Qala…’
Triptii Dimri is one of the most promising actresses in Bollywood currently. From Laila Majnu to Bad Newz, she has proved her potential as an actress. Last year, Triptii left a great impression with her performance in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. However, there were many people who criticised the actress for being a part of such a violent movie where she’s reduced to her looks and had to do a bold scene. For quite some time, the actress has been on the receiving end of such criticism.
Now, months after Animal has released in theatres, Triptii Dimri has reacted to the criticism. At India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024, the Laila Majnu actress was asked her thoughts on the backlash she received for playing Zoya in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. The actress stated that she doesn’t like to stay in her comfort zone. “With Bulbbul and Qala, I found that comfort, and while I love drama, being on those sets always energised me. However, when Animal came along, I found it truly challenging.”
The Bad Newz star added that, as an actor, she believes it is important to take something that pushes a person do to something different. Every time she gets a role, she feel like it’s both scary and challenging. That’s exactly how she felt when Sandeep Reddy Vanga explained the character of Zoya to her. For Triptii, Zoya was both innocent and brave and that excited her about the role.
Further in this entertainment news, addressing the severe criticism she received, the Qala actress stated, “I would approach Zoya’s character exactly the same way I did. As humans, we all have different shades—good, bad, and even ugly. I feel that films allow us to explore these sides.” Dimri believes that acting lets a person experience a wide range of emotions, and she considers herself lucky as she got to live through so many different experiences in one lifetime.
