We are talking about TV actress Shweta Tiwari. She has been a part of many popular TV shows, reality shows, web shows and even movies. Her professional journey has been brilliant but she faced a lot in her personal life.

Shweta’s personal life

Not once, but twice she has been through toxic marriages. She married Raja Chaudhary in 1998 and they have a daughter, Palak Tiwari. However, Shweta filed for a divorce in 2007 after nine years of marriage.

Domestic violence case

She accused him of domestic violence and said that he used to beat her up every day. Shweta has filed a domestic violence case against him seeking for a divorce. After the separation, she gave an interview to Hindustan Times.

Relief from a toxic marriage

She expressed how happy she was to be free from him. However, she had to pay a huge price to set herself free. As part of the divorce settlement, Shweta reportedly had to give Raja her one-bedroom flat, valued at approximately Rs 93 lakh.

As per reports, their legal team had proposed joint ownership of the flat between Raja and his daughter, Palak. But Raja wanted the sole ownership. Shweta was shocked hearing this.

She said, “I was shocked when Raja said, ‘I will sacrifice my daughter for property. Give me the flat and I will give you a divorce.” As per the divorce settlement, Raja couldn’t meet Palak when he wished to but Shweta had to allow Palak to meet Raja whenever she wanted.

Second marriage

Shweta faced a similar situation after her marriage with Abhinav Kohli in 2013. They have a son, Reyansh. Shweta filed a domestic violence case against Abhinav and they got separated in 2019.
