Faisal has played a small role in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor spoke about the time when he met Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan for the first time and how he lost his job after speaking the truth. A throwback clip of the actor is going viral on social media.
Faisal Malik lost his job post meeting Big B?
In an interview with The Lallantop, Faisal remembered the time when he met Amitabh Bachchan with Anurag Kashyap for a show. He said that he was half excited as he was getting to meet Bachchan sahab. He said that as soon as he saw Big B, he presented his copy to him for an autograph.
Faisal even praised Big B’s hospitality and said that the food kept coming at his house. He said that one wouldn’t be able to finish one dish before they present a new one. Faisal told Big B that he is from Allahabad and he talked to him. He said that he was eating 1 sesame laddus, when Big B ate two. He thought that Amitabh Bachchan was lying about his age and was quite young.
During the script reading, the person narrating the script was overconfident, but Amitabh soon pointed out a mistake on page 62. Faisal said that Big B remembered all 120 pages of the script and did not even have to look at the script to point out the mistake. He further said that he lost his job after meeting Amitabh and said that when the actor asked him when they should shoot this? Faisal said that he feels they should shoot this after six months. He revealed that soon they finished the meeting and stepped downstairs and he was told that he does not have to work on this project as he spoke the truth.
The web series stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Biswapati Sarkar, Sunita Rajwar, Pankaj Jha, Ashok Pathak, Sanvikaa, Rajesh Jais and Aasif Khan in main roles.
