Hrithik Roshan’s big confession

The actor is Hrithik Roshan. He made his Bollywood debut with the film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. It was written, directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. The movie launched Hrithik Roshan along with Ameesha Patel. It turned out to be a blockbuster hit. The movie was such a big success that it reportedly won around 92 awards, and made it to Guiness Book of World Records 2002 edition. It was a major box office success and made Hrithik Roshan an overnight sensation. He received the tag of the Greek God of Bollywood thanks to his charming looks and he is still justifying the tag. But not many know that Rakesh Roshan had to mortgage his house and cars to back the film. This revelation was made by Hrithik Roshan himself. In the new Netflix documentary, The Roshans, Hrithik Roshan made the big revelation. He narrated an incident when he had a tiff with his father over the prints sent. Hrithik said that prints were sent overseas despite him not colour-correcting a few scenes. So he got upset and questioned his father about the same. Hrithik further added, “And I think that was the first time that my dad gave it back to me. He gave it back to me in my face. He turned to my mom, and he said, ‘I am doing everything for him, and he’s sitting here and he’s complaining’. And that’s the night I found out, my mom told me, that the house was mortgaged, the cars were mortgaged… I realised how much was at stake.”

Rakesh Roshan’s gamble turned fruitful and everything went as expected for Hrithik Roshan. However, the family did face a tough time when Rakesh Roshan was shot. A week after the film’s release, Rakesh Roshan was shot in broad daylight. He suffered two bullet injuries but he survived. The shooting incident shocked all and was linked to underworld. In one of the interviews with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan shared that the underworld goons wanted Hrithik to feature in a film backed by them. But he refused and had to face the consequences.

Irrespective of what the family had to face, Hrithik is now the biggest star of Bollywood. As per reports, his estimated net worth is around Rs 3100 crore.
