Himesh Reshammiya‘s Badass Ravikumar and Junaid Khan–Khushi Kapoor starrer Loveyapa have clashed at the box office. Himesh’s spoof film opened better than Junaid and Khushi’s rom-com. But, one film defeated both films this week. The Bollywood film is a re-release which was a flop in the original run but later has become a classic cult now.
The flop film beats Badass Ravikumar and Loveyapa
Sanam Teri Kasam stars Harshvardhan Rane and Marwane Hocane in lead roles. The film was originally released in 2016 and was a flop. Nine years later, Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released and it got a great response from the audiences. As Sacnilk reported, Sanam Teri Kasam earned Rs 4.25-4.50 crore on Friday, February 7, 2025. The film was released on 5th February 2016 and it managed to collect Rs 1.20 crore on the first day.
Sacnilk reported that Himesh’s action musical has broken all the box office. Badass Ravikumar collected Rs 2.75 crore on its first day and the production claimed that the film earned more than Rs 3 crores. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s romantic-comedy Loveyapa earned only Rs 1.25 crore on Friday.
As per trade analyst Komal Nahta the shows of Sanam Teri Kasam have increased in many centres. He tweeted saying, “Some exhibitors already thinking of increasing the number of shows of repeat-run ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ (which re-released today) and reducing the shows of today’s new releases!!!! Can you believe this? Teri Kasam, this is genuine oven-fresh information!”
