In one of the interviews, Aamir had spoken about Aankhen and clearly mentioned that he did not like Govinda’s film. He had stated that some of the scenes were ‘vulgar’ in the movie.

Aamir Khan’s statement read, ‘David is a close friend of mine. But personally, I didn’t like the film, and David might know. I don’t know how it became such a huge hit. For me, the film was too crude, and some of the scenes were too vulgar. Thus, I didn’t like it, but the audience did.’

He also decoded why Aankhen was a hit. As per a report in TOI, Aamir shared that people loved ‘utt-pattang’ as the environment of riots had clouded the country. He shared that it was his observation and he could be wrong.
