However, there is one star who has surpassed them all.
The actor is Sharad Kelkar. He is going to be seen in a new show titled Tum Se Tum Tak. He will be playing the role of Aryavardhan who is a business tycoon. As per a report in entertainment news portal Filmibeat, Sharad Kelkar has now become the highest paid TV actor. The actor started his career with Television and then moved to big screens with films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Tanhaji and many more. He also appeared in many web series.
Now, he is back on TV with Tum Se Tum Tak. He is reportedly charging Rs 3.5 lakh per episode for Tum Se Tum Tak. A source close to the portal revealed that the channel is willing to pay the hefty remuneration as he fits the bill completely fine. The source said, “From owning the screen with his presence to showcasing his strength as an actor, the Bairi Piya star can pull the viewers towards the show. The makers have placed their bets on him, as they are hopeful that he can drive the viewership.”
Thus, he is now the highest paid TV star earing much more than Rupali Ganguly and others. As per reports, Rupali is earning Rs 3 lakh per episode for Anupamaa. Gaurav Khanna, who was a part of Anupamaa, was reportedly getting paid Rs 1.5 lakh per episode. Harshad Chopda reportedly made around Rs 1 lakh for his last show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Tejasswi Prakash, on the other hand, reportedly received 3 to 4 lakh per week for Celebrity MasterChef.
