However, Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur at that time. He reportedly then converted to Islam to marry Hema Malini. Here’s another interesting piece of their love story. Dharmendra once booked 100 hotel rooms for Hema Malini. She was pregnant with Esha Deol and in order to give her full privacy and comfort, he booked all the rooms in the hospital.
Hema Malini’s close friend Neetu Kohli revealed this story when she appeared on Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. She reportedly shared that Dharmendra discreetly arranged for all 100 rooms in the nursing home ahead of Esha Deol’s birth. “No one even knew that Hema was expecting. Dharam ji quietly booked all the rooms at the hospital just to make sure she had complete peace and privacy. It was his way of protecting his wife and their unborn child,” Neetu Kohli said as reported by India Today. This made headlines in entertainment news. Now, isn’t he a doting husband?
