What is Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 about?
Like the previous film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha, the spiritual sequel is similarly divided into three segments, Love, Sex and Dhokha or rather Like, Share and Download as known in the social media world. The first segment ‘Like’ focuses on Noor who is a transitioning female. Paritosh Tiwari plays Noor, a contestant on a reality TV show Truth Ya Naach. We get to see the ugly reality of reality shows. As we know reality TV shows are all about masala and the more masaledaar or emotional the reality is, the more the audience favours them. Sophie Choudry, Tusshar Kapoor and Anu Malik play the judges. Noor’s identity is exploited not just by the contestants but also by the makers of the show. The second segment ‘Share’ is about Kulu a transgender who works at a metro station. She is in a live-in relationship with Ajmal. Kulu is assaulted and found in an unconscious state in a secluded place. Her employer Lovina (Swastika Mukherjee) files a case against the perpetrator, wanting to take the opportunity to make their station a hit. Kulu is one of the many transgenders who are working at the station as a part of their equality culture. However, Kulu’s truth will change everything. The third segment ‘Download’ focuses on the effects of Gaming and the virtual world or AI world. Shubhman aka Gamepaapi is a brash gamer and YouTuber who wants to grow his subscribers by hook or crook. How they curate deals and get subscribers and visibility is shown in this segment. Gamepaapi’s obsession with subscribers comes to bite him back and it’s all thanks to the AI. The three segments are all linked in some or the other way.

What’s hot about Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2?
The performances of Paritosh as Noor, Bonita as Kulu or Abhinav as Gamepaapi are amazing. The three of them debuting in this movie are very raw. Paritosh as Noor is endearing and will make you feel the pain of the character. This segment explores the reality of reality TV shows. Be it the strategic planning and plotting to boost one of the contestants or even the downfall of the contestant. Paritosh as Noor is a show stealer and so is her mom. The family angle which is often exploited in reality TV shows is very well showcased. Anu Malik, Sophie and Tusshar as the judges of the reality TV show Truth Ya Naach and Mouni Roy as the host will leave you in splits with their dramatic reactions required for reality TV shows. Bonita as Kulu will keep you guessing till the end and she slips into the role of Kulu with so much ease. Swastika as Lovina, a lonely mother and the manager of the metro station keeps you glued to the screen. This segment highlights the work-from-home or hybrid working model, team meetings and pressure. The third segment is quite well-shot. The dangerous side of the virtual world or the AI world will leave you shell-shocked. How AI is going to take over humans in the future is seen in this segment. Abhinav as Gamepaapi, his whole influencer world and how it takes a dark turn due to AI will make you think twice before you post something on social media. The instances of the plotting of the downfall of the most popular reality TV show contestant, the shocking sexual assaults that occur in the country almost every day and even the brutal murder of a school-going kid are all inspired by the real stories. The theme of manipulation, bullying and meme-culture, hits, likes and subscribers will leave you pondering about an individual’s safety and make you wonder if we are living in the real or reel world.
What’s not?
The first two segments seemed too dragged out. It impacts the third segment which seems smaller than the first two. The first segment will give you all Bigg Boss feels. The closures of the first two segments seem like loose ends. There’s not much music in the movie just in the first segment. The build-up takes too much time and tests your patience. But it will surely reduce your screen time.

Verdict:
Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 showcases the ugly truth behind the OTT shows, virtual world and AI. All three segments have relatable stories that will make you think about finally drawing the line between real and reel worlds. It makes a good one-time watch.
