Nita Ambani is one of the most prominent names in India. She is the wife of billionaire Mukesh Ambani. But apart from being the wife of the richest man of India, Nita Ambani is also a businesswoman and a philanthropist. She is quite active when it comes to company – Reliance Foundation. Born on 1 November 1964, Nita Ambani grew up in a middle class environment. As per reports, Nita Ambani has completed her Bachelor’s degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. She then reportedly became a teacher at a school and earned Rs 800 per month. Recently, Nita Ambani was invited to speak at Harvard India Conference. She reminisced her humble beginnings and recalled how her parents did not have enough money to send her to Harvard. She said, “I must tell you this. In the morning today, my mother called my daughters-in-law –Shloka and Radhika– and told them ‘When Nita was young we could not afford to send her to Harvard, even though she wanted to go. Now, they have called her to speak at Harvard.”
Apart from this, Nita Ambani is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She is quite fond of dancing and it is evident from the videos that hit the internet post every big Ambani event. Nita Ambani danced her heart out during the wedding ceremonies of her children – Isha, Akash and Anant. From performing on spiritual songs showcasing her talent in classical dancing to dancing to Bollywood tunes during the sangeet ceremonies, Nita Ambani has showcased her love for dance with all her heart.
Today, reports suggest that Nita Ambani’s net worth is around Rs 2,500 crore. She is also the owner of the IPL team – Mumbai Indians.
