Spreha Chatterjee was NOT informed about character turning negative, ‘Rajan sir said woh toh hum decide karenge’
Actress Spreha Chatterjee, who plays the role of Maahi in Rajan Shahi‘s popular show Anupamaa spoke her heart out about her character turning negative in the show. The actress opens up about not being informed about her character turning negative in the show. She also revealed what conversation she had with producer Rajan Shahi on the same.
Actress Spreha Chatterjee spoke to India Forums as she said, ‘Honestly, I do not think so much. Jaise Jaise script demand karegi, waise waise mujhe kar na hai, there is no second thought about it. Baaki logo ka toh kya hai matlab woh toh main sunti aayi hoon negative comments, badh jayenge thode se aur toh kya’.
Spreha also said that, ‘Nahi nahi, matlab obviously Rajan sir se jab meri meeting huyi thi he had had asked me if I had any problem playing a negative character, maine kaha, ‘sir, no, I dont have a problem in playing a negative character, but I think sir mere upar suit kum karega because meri voice and all ekdum aise alag hai’.
Spreha replied that producer Rajan said, ‘beta woh toh hum decide karenge na aap ke upar kya suit kar raha hai aur kya nahi’. She replied saying, ‘correct sir, this is right’. She further added saying, ‘So yes, he just confirmed if I am okay or not and I said I am okay, so I was not told before hand ke negative jayega’.
Recently, the show has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs after the makers replaced actress Alisha Parveen with Adrija Roy. There were also reports which stated that Rupali Ganguly, who essays the role of Anupamaa in the show will be quitting the show.
