Sonali Kulkarni reveals Sanjay Dutt advice during Mission Kashmir’s bedroom scene

Actress Sonali Kulkarni recently spilled interesting details about a funny story from her time while she was filming Mission Kashmir directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The actress recalled her early days in the industry and spoke about a moment of pure nerves when she was shooting for a bedroom scene. She remembered how her hairdresser casually asked her, ‘You have waxed, right?’ She mentioned, ‘There was a scene which everyone called ‘bedroom scene.’ It wasn’t needed to be named at all but that’s what people used to call it back then. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, she said, ‘I was shocked, nervous, said maybe, yes. I was wearing a gown, and I got so nervous! I took my position and I was just not able to concentrate. In the film, there was a scene wherein Sanjay Dutt’s character says, ‘Today, Altaf called me abba’ to which Sonali’s character replies, ‘He has called me ammi before’. She revealed how the scene ends with a hug between their characters who are husband and wife. Sonali mentioned how she was not able to focus due to her gown and was fussing with it. She said that Sanjay noticed her discomfort, called her over and reassured her. He said, ‘Ismein na, pappi bhi nahi hai, bas do dialogue hai, aur hug karna hai. I am nervous, now if even you get nervous like this, then the scene just won’t happen, beta. So just relax. The film Mission Kashmir starred Hrithik Roshan, Sonali in main roles. The two later appeared in Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai and Love, Sitara.
