Singham Again director Rohit Shetty responds to trolling faced by Arjun Kapoor, ‘It isn’t easy…’
Singham Again made enough noise at the box office. Rohit Shetty managed to bring many superstars together for his cop universe. The latest instalment starred Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar and more. Arjun Kapoor entered Rohit Shetty‘s cop universe as a villain. With the film receiving good reviews only, Arjun Kapoor’s performance in the film has also been liked by all. Rohit Shetty in his recent interview spoke about the trolling faced by Arjun Kapoor and the low phase in his life.
Rohit Shetty heaps praises on Arjun Kapoor
In an interview with entertainment news site News18 Showsha, Rohit Shetty stated that Arjun Kapoor gave his 10000 percent to the character and shined in the film. He also stated that when the trailer of Singham Again released, some comments were made against the actor stating that five heroes are needed to kill Arjun’s character. But Rohit Shetty is glad that the opinions of the trolls changed after watching the film. Rohit Shetty also shed light on Arjun Kapoor’s ‘low phase’ as he faced a series of flops before Singham Again. He mentioned about Arjun Kapoor’s state of mind when he began shooting for Singham Again and being aware of how social media works. Further adding, “It isn’t easy for any of us to deal with trolls and then perform well. But I’m happy that people have appreciated Arjun’s work. Singham Again has such a big cast but people are only talking about Arjun Kapoor.”
Arjun Kapoor marked his debut with Ishaqzaade and since then has featured in films like Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny, Ki & Ka, Panipat and more. His recent films like Bhoot Police, Ek Villain Returns, Kuttey and more did not perform well at the box office. Singham Again proved to be a rebirth of sorts for Arjun Kapoor. He acknowledged the same in the recent post he made dedicted to director Rohit Shetty. He wrote, “The perfect role, at the right time, with a director who believes in you — sometimes, that’s all it takes.”

Singham Again has reportedly crossed the mark of Rs 200 crore with its domestic collection. This is despite clashing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa3.
