Time and again there have been reports stating that Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai are going to go their separate ways. However, the couple has never made any comment on the same. When Abhishek Bachchan arrived at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding with Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, it drew a lot of eyeballs as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived separately with daughter Aaradhya. As the rumours of rift between the two intensified, a lot of old videos and interviews of them about marriage and more resurfaced on the web.
Recently, we stumbled upon an old video of Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan that went viral on entertainment news segments. It is from when they arrived on Koffee With Karan. Abhishek was his candid best and split beans on his equation with family members and more. The actor was asked who is he scared of most – mother Jaya Bachchan or wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. To this, Abhishek Bachchan said mom Jaya Bachchan. However, it was Shweta Bachchan Nanda who stated that he is more scared of his wife Aishwarya. In the video clip, he also talks about the things he loves, hates and tolerates about his mother. Abhishek Bachchan stated that ‘She is my mother, that’s the bond that I love.’ About what he hates about his mother, he stated that she is very picky. And what he tolerates about her is her fetish that everything has to be placed correctly.
Karan Johar further asked Abhishek Bachchan if there is anything that he would like to change about his relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan if he had to. Abhishek replied to this saying that there is not much that he would like to change as it is exactly how he wanted it to be. Shweta Bachchan chmes in saying that Abhishek isn’t thinking twice before talking about his mother but he is really thinking before talking about his wife.
