Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Telugu megastar Jr NTR will be seen playing the role of the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke. We get you all details.

Aamir Khan has been in the news. He is all set to impress the audience with his upcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par. The trailer of the film released recently and the audience is all praise for the film. People are super excited to see Aamir back with another story full of emotions. However, on Thursday, another big announcement was made by Aamir.

Aamir Khan and Rajkummar Hirani’s collaboration

Aamir Khan and ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani are all set to collaborate again. They recently announced that they will be coming together for a film on Dadasaheb Phalke. The film will take you back to the Indian independence struggle era and the extraordinary journey of Dadasaheb Phalke who is known as the Father of Indian Cinema.

A movie on Dadasaheb Phalke

The film has not yet got any title and the work on the script was going on for four years. The film will go on floors from October 2025 after Sitaare Zameen Par releases.

It has been said that the script of the film is written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi, Hindukush Bharadwaj, and Avishkar Bharadwaj. The makers have also been taking inputs and rare anecdotes from Phalke’s grandson, Chandrashekhar Srikrishna Pusalkar.

Jr NTR’s new movie

On the other hand, Jr NTR is reportedly set to star in Made in India. It is a separate biopic inspired by the life of Dadasaheb Phalke. In 2023, SS Rajamouli announced this movie.

The film is produced by Varun Gupta of Max Studios and SS Karthikeya of Showing Business. The script was written and Jr NTR was reportedly impressed by the role.

As per reports, Jr NTR will be seen in a dramatically different avatar. The story will explore the emotional visionary side of the father of Indian cinema.
