Sharmin Segal’s co-star Pratibha Ranta talks about her incessant trolling for playing Alamzeb

The web series starred Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and many more. Pratibha Ranta played the role of Shama in the web series. Out of all, it was Sharmin Segal who faced the wrath of netizens. She played the role of Alamzeb in Heeramandi. The actress got targeted for her acting chops and more so because she is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece. Now, Pratibha has commented on the trolling faced by her co-star. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Pratibha Ranta shared her views on social media trolling suffered by Sharmin Segal. She called her a strong woman as she feels that it is very difficult spot to be in. The actress was quoted saying, “I think trolling is very difficult to handle. I don’t know how she is covering it up. She’s so strong, you know, the way she is handling it because it is a very difficult position to be in. Any kind of trolling, it’s not healthy.” She was also asked whether she has given any thought to what if she had been offered Alamzeb’s role. To this, the actress said no as she accepted the role that she was offered gracefully. Pratibha managed to win hearts with her role of Shama in the series. She also won a lot of accolades for playing the lead in Kiran Rao’s movie Laapataa Ladies.
