Samridhii Shukla reveals how Abhira’s traits have influenced her personality; ‘I have started…’ [Exclusive]
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Samridhii Shukla has often been praised as a hard-working actress who gives more than 100 percent to her characters. The actress is currently essaying the character of Abhira Poddar, and she has often been hailed for her acting prowess. In fact, a lot of her co-stars have stated that she is most engrossed in her scripts and is quite particular about her performance. Anita Raj, who essays the character of Dadisa herself, stated that because of the immense dedication put in by Samridhii, Abhira has come out beautifully on screen. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Life, Samridhii herself has stated that after portraying Abhira for close to 5 months, a few traits of the character are certainly imbued in her.

Samridhii Shukla reveals how Abhira’s traits have influenced her personality
While reminiscing about the time Abhira’s character was offered to her, Samridhii Shukla said, ‘First of all, I would like to say that I am very overwhelmed, happy, and satisfied with all the love that Abhira and the show has received. When Abhira was offered to me, I didn’t know in what manner to portray the character because Abhira is completely different from my own personality. But that’s what acting is all about – to portray a character which is nothing like you in real life. I also deemed my last show’s character, and Abhira is extremely different. I took Abhira as a challenge. Also, you know, a certain pressure can come in as a producer or a team is handling over 15 years of legacy, where all three actors from the previous three seasons have performed exceptionally well, so if this time it doesn’t work out, it will be on us.’
Shedding light on how Abhira’s few traits have now imbued in her personality, the actress said, ‘Now that it’s been 5 months of portraying Abhira, I can say that there are times I started behaving and talking like her. The funny thing which I can recall is that how Abhira adresses Armaan’s grandmother as Dadisa, I also have a few times called my own grandmother as Dadisa unintentionally. So, the characteristics have gone so much into my blood. I just love Abhira.’
While just like Samridhhi, even ardent fans of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai loved and adored Abhira.
