Samay Raina’s request gets rejected; Maharashtra Cyber Cell refuses to…

The ongoing controversy around Samay Raina‘s show India’s Got Latent refuses to die down. Following YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia‘s controversial comment about ‘parents and sex’ that earned him massive backlash, an FIR was lodged against him and organiser Samay Raina. Samay Raina has been summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell in this case. However, since he is in the US for his shows, Samay Raina reportedly made a request to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to record his statement through video conferencing, but this plea has now been rejected. As per reports, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has asked Samay Raina to appear on February 18. The statement needs to be recorded in person and he has been asked to be present in Maharashtra tomorrow for the same. Earlier, reports suggested that Samay Raina had made a plea suggesting he won’t be able to appear in person before March 17 due to his prior commitment. Samay said he’d be available via video conferencing. However, his plea stands rejected. Meanwhile, another report in India TV suggests that Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Makhija and others have also been summoned by National Commission of Women. While Ranveer, Apoorva, Ashish Chachlani, and Tushar Pujari have been ordered to appear on March 6, Samay Raina has been ordered to appear on March 11.

Post the controversy, Samay Raina took to his social media account to announce that he has deleted all the video of India’s Got Latent from his channel. He wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
