Twinkle Khanna – known for her sharp mind and witty responses in her popular column – has responded to rumours over Actors Vicky Kaushal and Akshay Kumar fighting for a film on Operation Sindoor. Popularly known in the Bollywood for their nationalistic and patriotic movies, Akshay Kumar and Vicky Kaushal had made headlines, courtesy memes suggesting that both are keen on doing film on Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 to strike multiple terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir following a shocking attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna was left absolutely confused and surprised, and opened up about her husband about the recent buzz.
In a witty exchange, Twinkle wrote “I can test paneer with an iodine solution — but what is the litmus test for the truth? I come across a flurry of tweets and I call the man of the house and start arguing. ‘I just read that you are fighting with Vicky Kaushal over who gets to make a movie on Operation Sindoor.’ He sighs and says, ‘It’s fake news and my leg is on fire, so I will call you later.’ He really should devise better excuses if he just wants to hang up.” said Twinkle Khanna.
The veteran actress soon came to the realization that his husband, known for performing his stunts on his own, had actually sustained a minor injury on the set, she wrote “Apparently, his leg was truly on fire for a scene. Nowadays, it is so difficult to figure out what is true that I look at every piece of information suspiciously”
After India launched missile and airstrikes against Pakistan due to its alleged involvement in the killing of tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir the operation undertaken on the early morning of May 7 has since been named ‘Operation Sindoor’.
