August 15 was quite eventful for Bollywood. Three big movies released on the same day. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 clashed with Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor’s film Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham, Sharvari Wagh’s film Vedaa. Between Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, it is Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor‘s film that has performed wonders at the box office as per reports in Entertainment news portals. Within the first two days, it managed to cross the mark of Rs 100 crore at the box office. As per the official numbers, Stree 2 made around Rs 76.5 crore on its opening day. The gross collection includes numbers including that of the paid reviews. The day 2 numbers are also out. The Gross collection of Stree 2 by the end of second day is RS 118 crore. It’s nett Indian collection is Rs 100.1 crore. It has already registered itself in the list of blockbuster hits of 2024. On the other hand, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein are moving at the box office at a snail pace. As per Sacnilk.com, Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu‘s comedy drama Khel Khel Mein made around Rs 2.05 crore at the box office on the second day of its release. Its total collection is now said to be around Rs 7.1 crore by the end of day 2. John Abraham’s action drama Vedaa made around Rs 1.8 crore on day 2 at the box office. It’s total collection is approximately Rs 8.1 crore. In comparison to Stree 2, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein seem to be struggling at the box office to generate great numbers despite releasing on a public holiday, i.e, August 15. Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa have three more days to mint well. It is an extended weekend as Monday is a holiday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. It remains to be seen if Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein manage to pick up pace.
