29‑year‑old businessman from Indore, Raja Raghuvanshi‘s murder, has shocked the nation. He travelled to Meghalaya along with his wife for honeymoon and never returned. As per reports, it is his wife Sonam who orchestrated the murder. The investigation is on and Sonam Raghvunabshi has been taken into custody by the cops for questioning. Amid all of this, Raja Raghuvanshi’s sister Shrasti Raghuwanshi is receiving major backlash on social media.
Post the reports of Raja Raghuvanshi’s brutal murder hit headlines, many of his videos with alleged sister Shrasti Raghuwanshi went viral on social media. These videos were all about Raja and family enjoying during the pre-wedding festivities. Post Raja Raghuvanshi’s demise, the sister used the social media platform to demand justice for her brother. However, netizens also noticed a few promotional posts in between. Even the hashtags #follow, #Like. #instamood and others attached to videos about Raja’s death caught the attention of the masses. This led to social media backlash with users accusing her of ‘clout chasing’. Many even pointed out that she posted promotional content when her brother was missing.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), one of the users wrote, “She is shrishti raghuvanshi, sister of Raja raghuvanshi. She is literally using her brother’s deαth to get views and fame on Instagram.
What a shame !!!” Another social media user wrote, “Shasti Raghuvanshi, sister of Raja, may be speaking sense-but let’s not ignore the elephant in the room. She’s turning her brother’s murder into Instagram content. Grief is real, but so is clout-chasing. SM hasn’t just dehumanised pain, it’s commercialised it.”

Talking about the case, the newlywed coupled Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvashi travelled to Meghalaya in May. The couple reportedly disappeared on May 23 after checking out from their homestay. A search operation was carried out and Raja’s mortal remains were found in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls in East Khasi Hills on June 2. It was almost two weeks later that the police managed to trace Sonam Raghuvanshi. She made a phone call to her brother from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur and that’s how police managed to trace her. Reportedly, Police mentioned that Sonam ‘surrendered’ at Nandganj police station.
