Prabhas starrer becomes the first South Indian film to achieve THIS feat in North America; Amitabh Bachchan goes ‘wah’

It has been helmed by Nag Aswhin. The fancy VFX and the storyline has left everyone intrigued. Talking about the box office collection, Kalki 2898 AD hasn’t only performed well in India but even overseas. As per reports, Kalki 2898 AD has crossed Rs 1000 crore mark with its worldwide collection. It has also created history in North America by achieving an enormous feet.

As per an update shared on social media by Prathyangira Cinemas, Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead has crossed $17 Million + Gross collection in North America. It is the first South Indian movie to achieve these mad numbers in NA. Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t hold himself back from commenting on the same and went ‘Wah, Wah, Wah.’ Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan also reacted to the news of Kalki 2898 AD crossing Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. He wrote that it is amazing.

In India, on day 16, Kalki 2898 AD continued to rule despite competition from new releases. Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 has hit the theatres and Akshay Kumar‘s Sarfira too released on July 12. But even then Kalki 2898 AD got major footfalls. As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Kalki 2898 AD made around Rs 5.4 crore at box office in India. Now, the total collection of the film is Rs 548.75 crore. It has turned out to be the highest grossing film of the year so far. It has also broken many major records made by big films like Pathaan and more.

Now, fans are excited for the second instalment of Kalki 2898 AD. Nag Ashwin in a recent interview shared that only 25-30 percent of the shoot for the part 2 is complete. Major scenes are yet to be shot. Thus there is a long wait. Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwathama in the film, Kamal Haasan is the dreaded Yaskin. The story has its base in Mahabharata.
