Nikki Tamboli breaks silence after receiving flak for ‘racist’ remark against Rajiv Adatia; ‘Let’s not turn…’
Celebrity MasterChef is as dramatic as it can get. From fierce competition to contestants shedding tears, the show has it all. It is hosted by Farah Khan and chefs Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna are the judges. In one of the recent episodes, Nikki Tamboli made some harsh remarks against Rajiv Adatia that did not go down well with the netizens. She got slammed on social media for being ‘racist’ as she called Rajiv Adatia ‘angrez’. Now, the actress has reacted to all the criticism that has come her way.
In a statement shared, Nikki Tamboli has clarified that the remark was made out of fun and that it was misunderstood by many. In a long note, she shared that contestants joke around and the incident in which she called Rajiv Adatia ‘angrez’ was no different. She added, “There was never any intention to offend or hurt anyone. Rajiv and I talked about it, and we actually laughed at how much it was blown out of proportion. Everything is absolutely fine between us. Let’s not turn a harmless joke into something it was never meant to be,” as reported by Etimes.
In the clips that went viral on social media, it showed Nikki Tamboli getting agitated after Rajiv Adatia mentioning that she is the one contestant who has ‘disappointed’ him. During the task, Nikki also called him ‘bavrat’. She received flak on social media for the same. However, the actress has now set the record straight and mentioned that all of it was nothing but ‘joke’.
In the upcoming Celebrity MasterChef episode, we shall see contestants getting into another team challenge. Nikki Tamboli and Faisal Shaikh will be the captains. The contestants will have to choose and majority of them will prefer to be in Faisal Shaikh aka Mr Faisu’s team. Only Tejasswi Prakash, Kabita Singh and Rajiv Adatia will prefer to join Nikki Tamboli. Rest, Gaurav Khanna, Usha Nadkarni, Abhijeet Sawant, Archana Gautam and Ayesha Jhulka will join Faisal Shaikh.
