Thug Life controversy

The Kannada language dispute began during the promotional event of Thug Life. During the event, Kamal Haasan who was joined by Trisha Krishnan and Silambarasan TR said that Kannada language originated from Tamil and within no time, his statement drew harsh criticism. The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce gave Kamal Haasan 24 hour to apologise, but he refused to do so.
