Nayanthara has been in the news. She is the talk of the town ever since issues between her and Dhanush started. Her documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale released and it became the highlight. It all began when Nayanthara shared an open letter against Dhanush for filing the Rs 10 crore lawsuit against her documentary. She had to wait for two years to get NOC for using Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’s footage in her documentary. Dhanush is the producer of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and he claimed damages of Rs 10 crore from Nayanthara for using the clip. This became a huge controversy after Nayanthara called him out publicly.
Nayanthara’s open letter to Dhanush was a PR stunt?
Dhanush recently filed a lawsuit against her and Vignesh Shivan in Madras High Court over the alleged use of the footage from the film. However, many people feel that Nayanthara did all this just for publicity and to promote her film. But, Nayanthara had said that she had to go this way as she had no option because Dhanush refused to speak to her over call.
She spoke to The Hollywood Reporter India and said that she is not someone who would want to tarnish someone’s image just for the sake of publicity. She shared this because there are many who have supported them but there are Dhanush’s fans who feel it is a PR stunt. She clarifies that it was not her intention to promote her film.
She added, “The film is not meant to be viewed as a film. It’s a documentary. You like the person, you want to know more about the person, you watched the film. It doesn’t come under the bracket of a hit or a flop.”
