Rajiv Thakur paid a visit to Archana Puran Singh’s home and spoke about the series of unfortunate events that took place after his birth. He recalled that his father faced an ouster from family even though he got into an arrange marriage. Rajiv recalled that his father had a thread factory and the day he was born, it poured heavily and continued for seven days straight. Due to heavy rains, the factory got destroyed in a major fire. He said, “My father’s struggle began after my birth. The day I was born, it rained continuously for 7 days. It was in Amritsar and I was born on Saturday. Hamara karkhana tha dhaage ka, all the machines burnt.” The comedian mentioned that he and his family then lived in one room home.
Sharing a light-hearted moment, Rajiv Thakur stated that he does not feel bad anymore and rather takes it as a joke. “Bhagwan ne paida aisa kiya hai, jahan bhi jayega kuch toh dhamaaka karega,” he said. He added that he is lucky for others including Kapil Sharma.
Rajiv also joked about how he used to get beaten up by his father with belt in childhood. “My dad used to hit me with a belt. Maine jo maar khayi hai bachpan me,” he shared.
