It’s been a while since Rakesh Roshan announced Krrish 4. After three successful ventures that established Hrithik Roshan as a superhero, he is set to return on the screen to flash his super powers. However, as per latest reports, Krrish 4 is facing a major hurdle. The film has already witnessed major delay and now, it looks like the makers are facing a severe challenge thanks to its exorbitant budget.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Krrish 4 has been pushed to 2026 as the makers are unable to find a studio to back such a big project. Reportedly, no studio is willing to take a risk given its high budget. A source informed the entertainment news portal, “Krrish 4 warrants the budget of approx. Rs. 700 crores, and no studio is willing to shell out such an exorbitant amount and take that big a risk. Hrithik had assigned the job of getting a studio on board to his friend, Siddharth Anand, who was also producing the film.”
Report suggests that Siddharth Anand is now out of the project. Now, Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan have allegedly taken it upon themselves to find a studio for a deal for Krrish 4. Report further also suggests that Karan Malhotra, who was brought onboard to direct the movie by Siddharth Malhotra, will exit the project. Source said, “A brand new team will now come on board film, to rework the budgets first and then take the film on floors.”
Hrithik Roshan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie War 2 that also stars Je NTR. However, the shoot suffered a slight delay as the actor suffered leg injury. Hrithik recently showed up at Deb Mukherjee’s funeral with crutches.
Only time will tell what will happen with Krrish 4. It appears that fans may have to wait for much longer than expected for the film.
