The gripping thriller received positive reviews from all and even at the box office, the movie is doing well. The story of The Buckingham Murders revolves around a detective who has to solve a missing child’s case. She is grieving as she lost her own son in a mass firing lunatic. The story has a lot of gripping tales about communal tension, LGBTQ issues and more. But will there be another part of The Buckingham Murders? In a recent interview, director Hansal Mehta dropped major hints about a prequel of The Buckingham Murders prequel. The filmmaker is quite happy with the response the movie has received and mentioned that all the reports around the film are encouraging. He further added, “I already have a prequel in mind for Jasmeet. It’s an origin story of how she became who she is today.” Does this mean he will be teaming up with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ektaa Kapoor again, he said ‘Of course’ as they ‘own the IP’. Kareena Kapoor Khan also jumped into production as she joined hands with Ektaa Kapoor to produce The Buckingham Murders. Hansal Mehta was all praise for Kareena Kapoor Khan and also mentioned that the actress doesn’t take her talent ‘too seriously’ and that is why there is smoothness and a touch of lightness in her performance. The Buckingham Murders is doing well at the box office. On first day, the movie made around Rs 1.62 crore at the box office. It then witnessed a great jump on day 2, as it made around Rs 2.41 crore. The third day saw a business of Rs ₹2.72 crore. On the fourth day, that is, the first Monday, the film made around Rs 1.06 crore. The total collection of The Buckingham Murders now stands at Rs 7.81 crore.
