Gulshan Devaiah calls out the ‘nasty’ trolling of Janhvi Kapoor, ‘That one botched AMA…
Gulshan Devaiah shared screen space with Janhvi Kapoor this year in the spy thriller Ulajh, directed by Sudhanshu Saria. The film also featured Roshan Mathew, Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meyaing Chang, and others. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Ulajh struggled at the box office. The movie’s promotions, however, generated buzz as Janhvi and Gulshan became a topic of discussion.
During an interview, the RamLeela actor mentioned that he and Janhvi didn’t quite vibe on the sets, but his comments were misinterpreted, leading to Janhvi facing significant online trolling. The Dhadak actress is already frequently targeted online, and Gulshan has now addressed this issue, condemning the ‘nasty’ trolling directed at her.
In a conversation with Galatta, Gulshan Devaiah spoke about nepotism in the film industry, stressing the curiosity that audiences have about star kids. The Hunterrr actor acknowledged that star kids might have some advantages, but he also pointed out that these advantages don’t always guarantee success. Gulshan explained that while some star kids may get more opportunities, many of them ultimately fail to maintain the audience’s interest after a few films. He noted that there are numerous star kids who no longer work in the industry, suggesting that initial excitement about them fades over time.
Further, the Guns & Gulaabs actor strongly reacted to Janhvi Kapoor’s frequent trolling on platforms like Reddit. Gulshan Devaiah expressed his confusion and concern over the level of negativity she faces. The actor mentioned that he couldn’t understand why she was subjected to such harsh treatment and mentioned how it happened in the botched Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. The actor believes that the AMA might have contributed to more trolling. Gulshan expressed his displeasure over the nasty trolling the Roohi actress faces and said that nobody deserves such treatment. He shared that his own AMA on Reddit went well, which added to his confusion about the harsh trolling Janhvi receives.

Meanwhile, Gulshan will be next seen in the movie Love Affair. Directed by Soni Razdan, the film also stars Ali Fazal, Kalki Koechlin, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Hansika Motwari. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor will be making her Tollywood debut with Devara: Part 1, which also stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
