Many celebrities have tried their luck in Bollywood. Some are complete outsiders, while others are quite well-known about how the industry works. One such celebrity is a renowned singer and music director who tried his luck in acting. But, unfortunately, his acting career did not do well despite his putting in a lot of hard work and effort. He was unable to make a significant impact on the big screen with his performances. Fans got disappointed and he later returned to singing. This celebrity has over 1,300 songs to his credit as a music director and has also worked with actors such as Salman Khan, Esha Deol, Tusshar Kapoor, and others.
Well, we are talking about Himesh Reshammiya who made his Bollywood debut with Aap Ka Suroor in 2007. He shared the screen space with Hansika Motwani. The songs in this film were sung and composed by him. The film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 9 crore, but did not do well at the box office. Himesh did not give up after the film failed at the box office and a year later, he appeared in the late director Satish Kaushik’s film Karzzzz which was a remake of the 1980 film Karz.
The film became a huge flop and investors were unable to recover the money invested in its production. After this, Himesh continued to try his luck on the big screen and was part of films such as Radio, Kajraare, Damadamm!, The Xposé, Teraa Surroor, and Happy Hardy and Heer. None of his films worked and met with the same fate as others.
On the personal front, Himesh married Komal and they have a son named Swaym. In September 2016, the two decided to part ways and filed for divorce. In May 2018, Reshammiya married actress Sonia Kapoor.
