The show has had many lead pairs and each love story has won hearts. It began with a simple arranged marriage story of Akshara and Naitik featuring Hina Khan and Karan Mehra. The story went on for eight years and it got a proper end. Later, Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan entered the show as Naira and Kartik. This was a love marriage. Their story also went on for more than 5 years. However, we then saw Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod entering as Abhimanyu and Akshara. This was again a love marriage but with a lot of complications. We also saw Jay Soni entering in and Akshara was married to him.

By the end, there was no proper end to Abhimanyu and Akshara aka AbhiRa. The story also ended in just two years. Hence, fans were quite disappointed with the makers and wanted them to at least give a proper end to the story. Abhimanyu died in a car accident along with his son and Akshara was again left all alone.
