Ankit Arora on why he choose TV over Bollywood
To BollywoodLife, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Ankit Arora spoke about why he opted to stick to Television and not focus on Bollywood. He mentioned that an actor needs financial capacity to reject projects in TV and go Bollywood, and he was not in a space to do so. He preferred to stick to Television for the stability and the responsibilities on his shoulder as he was quoted saying, “In order to switch from TV to Bollywood, you first need to have the financial capacity where you can sit at home and say no to TV projects, and I didn’t have that much source of income at that point of time, where I could have said no to TV. I had family responsibilities to look out for, and more than that, survival in Mumbai is expensive”.
Ankit also mentioned that an actor is insatiable with any kind of work received, so he is making his own choices. However, he also believes that Bollywood isn’t far off and he is also open to OTT projects. He has already been a part of films like Sweetie Weds NRI and Sanam Re.
Talking about his latest work as Arsh in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, he added “Rest, presently I am enjoying the shoot of my show, but something new will come soon.”
