Fans lash out at makers for shamelessly copying Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s viral Kartik-Naira saga, say ‘Cheap copies will never…’
Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa is winning hearts. The serial is at the top of the TRP charts. The show took a leap recently after which Shivam Khajuria and Adrija Roy entered as the lead pair. Anu and her bond with Rahi became the highlight. Prem and Rahi’s love story is currently the main topic in the show. We saw that Anu is trying to make sure her daughter does not have the same fate like her. Prem’s family is orthodox and Anu get scared that Moti Baa will ruin Rahi’s professional life.
Moti Baa wants Rahi to be a housewife and do all the household chores. Rahi wants to study ahead but Baa tells her to do everything after marriage. Prem has been away from his family and he hated his father, Parag. He believes his father Parag betrayed his mother which is why she died. He also hates Khyati who is now married to Parag.
Prem is a supportive husband and he knows his family won’t support Rahi. However, Rahi wants Prem to reunite with his family. Parag, Moti Baa have agreed to this marriage because they know Rahi can only bring Prem back home.
Similar stories of Anupamaa and YRKKH
We have seen that the story of Rahi and Prem has been quite similar to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai‘s Kartik-Naira story. Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan played the role of Kartik-Naira. The first meeting of Rahi-Prem to the introduction of Prem’s family is exactly same.
In the new promo of Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, we see that the ‘chit in kachori’ scene is exactly copied from YRKKH. The Kothari family will come to Anu’s house for lunch. Rahi will hide a chit in a kachori and ask Pari to give the kachori to Prem but Anu will give the kachori to Parag.
He will read the chit and give an angry look to Rahi. This situation is same as Naira did when her chit landed in Manish’s hand instead of Kartik. Fans are annoyed with the makers for copying the story. They feel that this is a cheap copy.
