Rupali Ganguly-starrer Anupamaa produced by Rajan Shahi has been a major success. The show ruled the number one spot on TRP charts for the longest time. However, in week 13 of 2025, Anupamaa slipped down to the second spot. As per the latest TRP rating, Anupamaa lost its throne to Udne Ki Aasha. In the week 13, Udne Ki Aasha starring Kanwar Dhillon and Neha Harsora registered a TRP rating of 2.2. Whereas, Anupamaa managed to get a rating of 2.0 slipping down to the second spot. Despite new entries in the show, Anupamaa witnessed a drop in rating. Now, fans are demanding a major change to the storyline to get the show back on track.
On social media, all the Anupamaa fans are demanding that the focus be brought back on Anu played by Rupali Ganguly. Currently, the storyline revolves around the drama in Kothari house. Randeep Rai entered the show as Mohit and it turns out that he is Khyati Kothari and Parag Kothari’s son. Prem and Rahi are married and Anupamaa is dragged into their drama. Manish Goel entered the show as Raghav. A parallel story around Raghav trying to have a new beginning post his jail time is also stealing the limelight. Fans are of belief that the makers of Anupamaa should focus on the central character instead of the parallel twists.
A fan commenting on Anupamaa’s TRP drop wrote, “Every time the show focuses on the Kamina Kotharis, the TRP drops drastically. Nobody cares about the Kotharis. Why do I have to sit through an entire episode of Prem and Khyati’s DDP in a show named #Anupamaa?” Another fan wrote, “Despite so much drama n dhum tana bgm d current track doesnt generate any interest bcoz #Anupamaa in her named show is just standing as a spectator n we don’t watch for these sideys but 4 her journey. N wats wid these silly Baa scenes in btwn (sic).”
