Bangladesh has drawn everyone’s attention due to the political unrest in the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and escaped from Bangladesh due to the violent protests against the Government. Visuals of the her home being vandalised by the violent mob are all over the social media. Amidst all of this, the stories of a Bollywood actor who achieved massive fame in the neighbouring country have resurfaced on the web. We are talking about Housefull star Chunky Panday. In one of the old interviews, he revealed how he became a superstar in Bangladesh.

In 1987, Chunky Panday got introduced to films with his debut movie Aag Hi Aag. He played the role of Vijay Singh. From there, he appeared in many films like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Tezaab and many more. However, he did not get to be a leading star. He got opportunities to play the supporting characters and side roles. Unhappy with the progress in his Bollywood career, Chunky Panday decided to move to Bangladesh. It was after his friend forced him to a film in the neighbouring country that he took it up. In one of the interviews with news agency IANS, he revealed that he was in desperate need of money at that time and that is why he took up a film in Bangladesh. He termed it as a ‘gamble’ but it worked. Chunky Panday was quoted saying, “But my first film became such a huge hit that I never looked back and worked there for five years until I got married in 1998.”
Later in an interview with The Quint, Chunky Panday also mentioned that Ananya Panday was conceived in Bangladesh. He revealed that he and wife Bhavana went on a honeymoon to Bangladesh and that Ananya is a ‘honeymoon baby’.

Chunky Panday returned to Bollywood and now he is famously known as the ‘Aakhri Pasta’ from Housefull. He has been a part of all the four instalments of the franchise. He has also been a part of a few web series including Abhay, Pop Kaun and more. He was also a part of Ananya Panday’s movie Liger that unfortunately did not do well at the box office.
