Why Dostana 2 was shelved?

Janhvi Kapoor was recently seen speaking to The Lallantop channel and she was asked about her movie, Dostana 2 that got shelved. She was supposed to star opposite Kartik Aaryan and Laksh Lalwani in Karan Johar‘s film. However, later rumours of Karan being upset because of Kartik’s unprofessional behaviour on the set came out. Dharma Productions also announced that they will be recasting for Dostana 2. Janhvi now spoke about why the film got shelved and what happened on the sets. She said that they had shot for that film for about 30 to 35 days and the shoot was going very well according to her. She does not know what the film was shelved. She added that they began shooting for that film long before Covid and then Covid happened hence there was a delay of over one-and-a-half years.

She was then asked if the movie got shelved because of the issues between Karan and Kartik. She said that it is not because of that as work is extremely important for both of them. She shared that she has no idea what happened between them and it should be asked to them only.

Kartik had earlier called these all rumours and said that everyone just wants to do good work. Last year in November, Karan decided to get back with Kartik on his birthday.
