Diljit Dosanjh gets another notice? Dil-luminati organisers to be fined Rs 15 lakh for Chandigarh concert

Popular singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs with his Dil-luminati tour which became the talk of the town in 2024. Well, Dil-luminati tour has been one of the most attended and discussed tours in India. Diljit and his Dil-luminati tour have been in the news for a while now. This time, the singer and his entire team are in trouble yet again, not for the electrifying performances or chart-topping songs, but due to a legal notice. Diljit recently held a concert in Chandigarh and has been accused of violating noise pollution norms. Yes, you read that right! Authorities claim the concert exceeded permissible noise levels and the team will be fined a hefty penalty of Rs 15 lakh. The incident follows previous notices sent to Diljit’s team for similar issues. This piece of news has surely marked a dent in his tour. As per a report by the Tribune, Dil-luminati’s sound levels in Chandigarh were higher than the permissible limit that has caused disturbance to the nearby residential areas. Well, the maximum permissible limit in that area is around 75 decibels and as per reports, the noise range of the event was around 76.1 and 93.1 decibels. Moreover, Chandigarh’s civic body has taken note of the violation and has also issued a notice to the organizers, including the singer’s team. In September, a law student named Riddhima Kapoor filed a legal notice against Diljit Dosanjh and the concert organizers after alleging manipulation of ticket prices in a violation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Post this, the Telangana government prohibited him from performing songs that referred to alcohol, drugs, or violence. The singer then had to work on his lyrics in the concert.
