Bollywood actor Govinda was once the ultimate superstar. Especially in the 90s, it won’t be wrong to say that it was Govinda’s era. Almost all films featured Govinda. He was hailed as the comedy superstar with films like Aunty No. 1, Coolie No. 1, and others. However, there came a downfall where most of Govinda’s films tanked at the box office, and he has almost vanished from the big screen. While few stated that the actor is quite choosy and hence doesn’t do a lot of films, others stated that Govinda’s alleged unprofessionalism has cost him many films. However, amidst the speculation of Govinda’s downfall, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee recently stated that many filmmakers are still waiting to collaborate with the actor. Anees Bazmee eager to work with Govinda amidst speculations of the actor’s downfall

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Anees was asked what is the reason behind why Govinda is not seen more in Bollywood films. Anees, who himself has worked with Govinda in the past, stated that he has no idea why the actor is not making a comeback, as along with many filmmakers, he still wants to collaborate with the actor. He revealed that as soon as he feels that he has a perfect character for the actor, he will definitely approach him. He stated that even today, Govinda certainly has the potential to ace the characters assigned to him. Well, it would be interesting to see if Anees himself will collaborate with the actor in the future. Anees is known for making films in the comedy genre, while Govinda is known for his impeccable comic timing. It would certainly be a treat to watch both of them coming together on screen.

However, Govinda’s Bollywood career as of now is certainly in question. The actor recently joined Shiv Sena, and if he does win the election, he will start the second innings of politics which may leave him little time for Bollywood.
