Celebrity MasterChef’s Tejasswi Prakash on not being treated as equal to senior actors: ‘I realised…’
Tejasswi Prakash is one of the most known names in the television industry. From her TV shows to participation in reality shows to her relationship, the actress has been quite popular amongst the Indian TV audience. Currently, she is winning the judges and the audience’s hearts with her cooking skills in Celebrity MasterChef. A lot of people are rooting for the actress to win the reality show. Recently, the judges have been completely in awe of her amazing cooking talent.
Today, Tejasswi Prakash is an established actress. But her journey in the TV industry has not been a smooth ride. In an interview, the actress opened up on how differently she was treated compared to the senior actors who were a part of the same show. Tejasswi shared in an interview, “Initially, when I worked with senior actors who were more known than I was. I would be treated very differently. They would be given better rooms, better vanity vans and even better food to eat. At the initial phase of my career, I have faced such issues.”
Further in this interview with Times Now, the Naagin 6 actress revealed the learning she had when she started working on her second show. “By the end of my second show, I realised my worth and I refused to be treated less than anyone else. I realised that I wasn’t being paid well, and then I asked for more. I realised people want to see me more; then why should I get less money?”
Some of the shows Tejasswi Prakash has been a part of are Swaragini, Pehredaar Piya Ki, and Naagin 6, among others. Recently, on Celebrity MasterChef, the actress prepared a Dosa Bomboloni dish that left the judges in awe. Chef Vikas Khanna told the actress that he would be featuring her dish at his restaurant and would share the revenue with her.
