Ajay Devgn has once again proved that he commands strong hold at the box office. His recently released film Raid 2 has turned out to be a box office success. Directed by Ram Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is a crime thriller that sees Ajay Devgn as an Income Tax Officer determined to bust a white collar crime. Riteish Deshmukh plays the villain in this one. Vaani Kapoor is the leading lady. The film hit the theatres on May 1 and since then it has been performing well. Here’s the day 10 box office report of Raid 2.
As reported by Sacnilk.com, Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh‘s movie saw a good growth at the box office on day 10. The film made around Rs 8 crore on its second Saturday. These are the early estimates. Despite the escalated conflict between India and Pakistan, the movie managed to witness growth in numbers. On day 9, Raid 2 had made around Rs 5 crore at the box office. Now, the total collection of the movie stands at Rs 108.75 crore. The first week collection of the movie was around Rs 95.75 crore. Within just 9 days it hit the mark of Rs 100 crore and is still ruling the theatres.
In terms of occupancy, states like Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and others witnessed a high rate. Now, Ajay Devgn’s movie is just a few crores short from beating Salman Khan‘s movie Sikandar at the box office. The film’s lifetime India Net Collection was Rs 110 crore approximately. Over the second weekend, Raid 2 will surpass the numbers of Sikandar. The film has also beaten Sunny Deol’s new movie Jaat at the box office. The movie that released on April 10 is yet to touch the mark of Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Raid 2 is a sequel to Raid that released in 2018. The first instalment was a hit as fans loved the storyline. The sequel too received positive reviews from all corners.
