Amidst speculations about Anuj’s death; Rajan Shahi hails Gaurav Khanna’s performance in the Rupali Ganguly-starrer show

Anupamaa: Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer show is captivating the audience’s hearts with its interesting storyline. While ardent fans are waiting for MaAn’s reunion, they are also worried if Anuj’s character may die in the show as speculations were strong that to boost TRP, makers may introduce Anuj’s death track in the show. Amidst all this, Rajan Shahi, in a recent interview, praised Gaurav’s performance as Anuj and also shared an interesting anecdote when the actor was cast in the show. Anupamaa: Rajan Shahi hails Gaurav Khanna’s performance as Anuj

In an interview with ABP News, Rajan Shahi revealed that Gaurav Khanna has portrayed the character of Anuj Kapadia beautifully. He recalled that when Gaurav was finalized, he was in Serbia and had to take another flight. He clearly told the casting team that he doesn’t want any more actors to be auditioned as he has zeroed in on Gaurav. Rajan mentioned how he was in a rush to catch another flight but kept on insisting on Gaurav. He remembered telling Gaurav that he now has certain responsibilities to fulfill, and he is confident he will do it beautifully. Shahi also stated that Gaurav is a nice human being who gives a lot of respect to him. For those unaware, for weeks there were strong speculations that Anuj’s character may die in the show. Anupamaa is a remake of the Bengali series Sreemoyee, and in the Bengali version, Anuj’s character eventually dies. However, in Sreemoyee, Anuj dies when the show was wrapped up. There’s a possibility that in Anupamaa, Gaurav’s character may also die, but the track would be included eventually whenever the makers decide to put an end to the show.

Gaurav too recently stated that all the speculations regarding Anuj’s death are false, and he is very much a part of Anupamaa and going nowhere.
