When we talk about Bollywood blockbusters, the Khans have often topped the list. All three Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan—have made and broken records. They know how to bring the audience to theatres in great numbers, thanks to their movies, performances, and stardom. But what if we tell you there’s another Khan who had the record of being the most successful Khan?
The Khan who has the record of leaving behind Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan is Irrfan Khan. As reported by Hindustan Times, SRK’s films have earned Rs 9000 crore worldwide, followed by Salman with Rs 7000 crore and then Aamir with Rs 6500. Together, the superstar Khans of Bollywood have made Rs 22000 crore at the box office. So how did Irrfan Khan leave them behind?
Irrfan Khan has also worked in several Hollywood movies. Worldwide, his Indian films have made Rs 2000 crore. But his Hollywood movies have earned 2.5 billion dollars (Rs 22500 crores). Thus, the record set by the Piku actor worldwide with his movies’ collection is Rs 24500 crore worldwide. Even though he wasn’t always the lead actor in these movies, he played key roles and that’s something we cannot take away from him. Some of the Hollywood movies he has been a part of are Jurassic World, Inferno, The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi.
